Caricom leadership in a time of crisis
Kudos to Prime Minister Bruce Golding for grasping his destiny as the leading Caricom PM by heading to earthquake-devastated Haiti and taking the leader of the opposition, Portia Simpson Miller, along. Shame on those who say that he split right after announcing the “swap”. No one believes that it too was a plot… after all, earthquakes aren’t predictable.
O Blessed Obama
The leadership of US President Barack Obama on the Haitian crisis has been nothing short of outstanding. He set the pace for the world by his immediate response to the devastation and his continuing interest in the welfare of the suffering Haitian people.
A taxing problem
People are saying they hope that the headache that came with the imposition of the tax on gas won’t be repeated with the property tax. Hopefully, the lessons have been learnt.
What luck!
They say what goes around really does come around in the end. Seems she went from hubby to best guy-friend, to boss and now back to hubby again. Whoever said a woman can’t have it all, and then some?
Something to think about
People are saying that no matter what happens, the matter of that extradition won’t go away. A plane crashed, then, the earthquake shook Haiti but people still haven’t forgotten about it. It’s full time the matter be resolved one way or another.
All’s fair in health and war
The chick’s in love with a man nearly twice her age. But it seems she’s the only one who doesn’t know there’s no cash to be had in his shallow pockets. As friends look on, shaking their heads, others turn away saying ‘we told you so’.
