On February 4, 2025, Scotiabank marked the third anniversary of the Scotia Women Initiative (SWI) with a public forum titled ‘The State of the Jamaican Woman’. Since its inception, the initiative has injected over $3 billion into women-led businesses across key industries such as technology, retail, tourism, manufacturing, and education. With a strong focus on access to capital, education, and advisory services, SWI has supported over 500 women entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses and driving economic growth.
