Capleton pushes inspirational message with Richie Spice, Courtney Melody and Ikeed
Thought provoking songs such as That Day Will Come (Small World), Cold Blooded Murderer and Jah Jah City have made veteran deejay Capleton one of the most respected entertainers of this generation.
The self-styled “Fireman” ups the ante with his latest inspirational song, People, a collaborative effort which also features Richie Spice, 1980s hitmaker Courtney Melody and newcomer Ikeed.
According to the Grammy-nominated deejay, People is an inspiration for others to take note of global happenings.
“This is a song of inspiration to wake up the people and open their eyes to what’s going on in the world right now. The world is changing rapidly, we see them coming with AI and robots trying to replace mankind. So, the people need to be wise and understand that it’s time to put away negativity and unite to save themselves,” said Capleton.
Capleton noted that he is happy to have collaborated with his “musical brothers”, adding that the message needed to be heard.
“I’m also happy that I was able to collaborate on this project with my musical brothers Richie Spice, Courtney Melody and Ikeed. It’s good vibes, and the message needs to be heard.”
People was released last month. It is a co-production between King 13, Deki Records, Code 9 Records and Rapid Production.
Ikeed, an engineer and recording artiste, created the rhythm for the song.
“I built the rhythm and played it for Capleton, and he liked it. When I shared the idea that I wanted to do a collaboration, he invited Richie Spice and Courtney Melody to be a part of the project,” said Ikeed.
The official music video for People, which was directed by Deki Creations, will be released on Friday March 7.
