Jamaica’s Keri-Ann Greenwood finishes 2nd in Miss Global pageant
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Keri-Ann Greenwood, Jamaica’s representative at the 2025 Miss Global beauty pageant, finished in 2nd place at the grand coronation, which was held Sunday in Thailand.
Greenwood, the current titleholder of the Miss Universe Jamaica East 2024, finished third in the national Miss Universe Jamaica pageant last year.
Jermane Blair, regional manager for Miss Universe Jamaica East, was ecstatic when Observer Online caught up with him.
“The Miss Global organisation reached out to us at Miss Universe Jamaica East and asked us, based on Keri’s representation at Miss Universe Jamaica East and her appearance on social media, to have her represent Jamaica at this year’s Miss Global pageant. We collaborated with the Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation and Anwar, and we decided to send her to represent,” Blair disclosed.
Blair added that the training and preparation that Greenwood received during last year’s Miss Universe Jamaica East pageant helped in her representation at Miss Global.
“In her representation, we were able to go through a lot of training and development for her, and a big part of her journey through Miss Universe Jamaica East had prepared her for this moment. I am extremely proud of her representation today and ecstatic about the fact that she took the time to be groomed and trained to go and execute so effectively. She is the embodiment of grace and poise,” said Blair.
Nguyen Dinh Nhur Van of Vietnam was crowned the 2025 Miss Global winner, while Puerto Rico’s Ediris Rivera took third place. Fourth and fifth places went to Lindsay Becker representing the United States and Xena Ramos of the Philippines.
Miss Global (not to be confused with Miss Global International) was first held in 2013.
