Busy year for Little Kirk
This year is shaping up to be a very busy one for veteran recording artiste Little Kirk, who has returned to the spotlight with a new single titled True Love.
The song was produced by Triple Bro Records.
Since its release it has been generating a huge buzz and has quickly landed on the play list of several popular radio DJs and selectors.
“I love the support this song is receiving from DJs both locally and overseas. I have another song titled Waiting on My Turn, which is also doing well. So I am feeling very optimistic right now,” said the artiste.
The easy-going singer is also promoting a 14-track rhythm project called the Escape Rhythm.
This project features songs from several established reggae and dancehall stars including Little Kirk, Wayne Wonder, Turbulence, Tanto Metro, and Devonte.
“The Escape Rhythm was created by Fyah Wayne, and all the songs were co-produced by Junior Miller and me for Prolinks Records. Donovan Miller is the executive producer for the project,” said Little Kirk, adding that it took three years to put this project together.
“It all started when Junior told me that he had an idea for a dancehall project featuring various artistes,” he said, “I liked the concept he shared with me, so I decided to work with him and his brother on the project. I think the first two artistes we recorded on the rhythm were Wayne Wonder and Alozade. After that, we just kept working on the project until we completed it.”
The line-up of artistes on the Escape Rhythm is completed by Little Harry, Right Away, Mr Smooth, Yellowstone, and Ranymo.
Little Kirk shared that he plans to keep busy in the studio this year.
“The plan is to release more projects this year and beyond. I’ll never stop creating new music,” he said.
